What People Say

On behalf of the Bristol Irish Golf Society may I thank you and all the staff for your warm welcome and looking after us so well. Please also convey our thanks to Christine and her staff for a lovely meal and great hospitality. The course was lovely and in great condition and we had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Les O'Reilly, Bristol Irish Golf Society, 23 April 2010.
Thanks also to you all for an excellent day out on Friday, and for your generous gesture with regard to the fee.  Despite the course being on the short side we all enjoyed it and there were no complaints about that, in mid-March it is to be expected.  What makes the day for us is a nice meal at the end of the day, and we certainly received that.  Where many clubs fall down is the absence of a welcome which you, Richard and your staff provided in full, and to be greeted on the first tee by Richard sealed it!
Just a short note to thank you and your staff for making our golf day so enjoyable. I can honestly say that the greeting we received was the friendliest that we have had from any golf club.Although the weather was against us and despite the heavy rainfall of the past few days the course played fantastically well , and what a gem it is.Everyone of our members was delighted with the day and all expressed a desire to return in the summer.
Once again thanks to you and your staff for a tremendous day. On behalf of the Barley Mow Golf Society yours sincerely, Andy Hill
Thank you very much for hosting our Charity Golf Tournament and allowing the use of your facilities, which are superb, for teams and non-players alike. Please pass on our thanks to all members of staff who helped to make the day run smoothly and welcoming the players.

Richard, Please pass on our very sincere thanks to all the staff at Clevedon. The Farrington Monday Club had a wonderful day . Despite the weather, the course is in superb condition, everyone was most kind and helpful, and the food was just great. I would highly recommend Clevedon for a Society visit. best wishes John Butler

Many thanks for your efforts, the moment we entered the premises you were there to advise and assist. The day was perfect, great facility and very clean and tidy. The stunning views over the River Severn were almost an artists delight and were something I shall always remember. The 15th and 16th were some of the signature holes and a great test for our young Juniors. The course was in great condition, it really was a special day. I always believe a golf course is not just a sporting venue, it is a day out enjoying Britain at its best—this we did at Clevedon. Teg Bevan—Glamorgan County Junior Golf—August 2009.

Clevedon Golf Club offers a sensational course that will have even the most experienced golfer scratching their head, yet without scaring off those new to the game and higher handicappers. It has a truly wonder-ful setting too, laid out on luscious verdant parkland on a cliff top, and with superb views over the Severn Estuary. Who wouldn’t want to play such a magnificent course. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for your Club’s hospitality on Friday. It was my first visit, and must say how enjoyable and challenging I found the layout. The course was in excellent condi-tion and the welcome was warm and friendly. Jonathan Flagg & NAB Group July 2009.

Created by JH Taylor in 1908 this course is a challenging test. It enjoys a wonderful location high above the Severn Estuary so boasts panoramic views. Clevedon's difficulty depends on the strength of the wind whipping off the Severn Estuary. It's always in good condition. Today's Golfer May 2009.
