We aim to provide you with the information to encourage you to
come and play our course, and the detail to help you play it to
the best of your ability. Above all, we wish to ensure the safety
of members guests and the public, so we have also shown some guidelines
on how to minimise dangers on the course.
The course provides an excellent test for all standards of golfer from low to high handicap, with a length of 6557 yards, Par 72, SSS 72, from the medal tees and 6348 yards, Par 72, SSS 71, from the forward tees. The Ladies Par is 75, SSS 75, with a measured length of 5980 yards.
Although Clevedon Golf Club was formed in 1891, golf has been played on the current site upon the old Castle Farm since 1898. Starting in the early 90's the course saw some major changes with the introduction of 5 new holes, and the construction of 18 U.S.G.A. specifications greens to meet the demands of golf into the 21st century.
The front 9 offers spectacular views as the course stretches along
the Severn Estuary before dropping down into the valley.
The back 9 continues the parkland feel to the course as it prepares
you for the challenge of our signature Castle Hole, the 16h. With
the tee over 200 feet above the fairway, take time to savour the
views of both coastlines of the Bristol Channel and the Mendip Hills
before considering your strategy!
We then climb back up for the final two holes set along the coastline
with splendid views of both Severn Crossings and the sanctuary of
the Clubhouse.
